Puppy GH-1282 – Blue

Blue found his forever home! Way to go Buddy!

This handsome boy came to GoldHeart after a PA breeder was getting out of the business.

Gender: Male

DOB: 9/7/2023 

Weight: Approximately 12 pounds.

Health: Up to date on vaccines for his age, and will need other vaccines/boosters when required, and dewormed again.  He is eating 3x a day, about 1 cup each meal of high quality puppy kibble.

What we know so far about this cute boy: Housebreaking is going quite well and the puppy is being crate trained.  Sleeping through the night with last potty call being around 11 pm. Being a puppy, he is full of energy and will play till they finally drop off to sleep.  He is mouthy but can be redirected. He knows to come and will come very quickly when you shake a container of treats, so that is his reward for coming in the house when he would sooner stay outside to play. 

We have started combing him every night and he was pretty good about having his nails cut.

He loves to play with his brother so another dog in the house would be nice, but not absolutely necessary. He is a little shy and will cower down when approached sometimes, so small children may scare him if they run after him, although he does well with the 2 yr old child that lives in the foster home. 

**This puppy will be adopted out with a GoldHeart Puppy Contract, and the forever home will need to have necessary puppy vaccines completed, and altered at approximately age 1. Proof of spay/neuter (vet invoice/spay certificate) will be required. Upon receipt, GoldHeart will reimburse the forever home up to $100 towards the surgery cost.

The foster family will learn who is interested in dog name, including your communications to GoldHeart along with your GoldHeart approval files (home visit report/application/references). In turn, the foster home will be reviewing during the next week or so, and narrowing the field down to the best best-fit home(s) aligned to this requirement’s posting. The family will contact you directly if they have any questions or want to arrange a meeting with you. Puppy GH-1282 is being fostered in the South Central PA Area.

If you are not yet approved by Goldheart, and are in our SERVICE AREA, you may complete an adoption application at https://goldheart.org/adopting-a-golden/adoption-application/. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee that must be received before the approval process can start.  Please mark you are interested in this puppy in question 5, and we will do our best to expedite, the approval process (which can take 6 weeks, or longer), since we rely on an all-volunteer support network to process your application, conduct the home visit, and check references.
