Giving Thanks for Goldens Fundraiser

We need your help! GoldHeart (GH) is once again facing extraordinary medical bills. We anticipate spending over $50,000 this year in veterinary expenses alone to support dogs coming into GH, including those pictured above. Last year we incurred $22,200 in total expenses caring for incoming rescues.

If you can make any tax-deductible donation towards their expenses, the entire GoldHeart Board and foster homes caring for these sweet fur kids will be forever grateful and thankful.

Giving Thanks for Goldens Donation Levels are listed below and donor names, with your permission, will be posted at our website, goldheart.org, in January 2017, and in a subsequent newsletter. All donations received through December 31, 2016, will be included in this campaign and donors at the GH Grand Champion level and above will receive a complimentary GoldHeart 2017 Calendar.

Below are some details about the goldens pictured above. You can follow their progress and others at our web site at Available Dogs, and hopefully one day, at Happy Endings!

Sofie has required veterinary care totaling over $14,000, and we are pleased to report she recently took  her first steps! Benny our sweet tripod, who just found his forever home, incurred vet expenses over $5,000. Gracie was near death due to multiple tick-borne diseases and was saved by the emergency Vets at University of Penn, with charges reaching close to $5,000. Ash’s vetting has already reached $1,500 and with severe hip dysplasia, thousands more may be needed to ensure this sweet boy lives a life without pain. Brittany, one of our latest arrivals, will require knee surgery due to a torn cranial cruciate ligament, and the cost of surgery with aquatic physical therapy could reach $4,000. Many other wonderful goldens and golden-mixes have required routine vetting, and surgeries for mass removals, dental cleaning, extractions, along with spay and neuter surgeries, with cost per dog often exceeding $1,000.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT OF GOLDHEART!

HOPE YOU AND YOURS HAVE A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!
