Shaina GH-1145

Our amazing dog, Shaina, died suddenly last week, from a heart cancer that is common in Goldens and difficult to detect. She was 10, and even though we only had her for 4 years, she made quite the impact.

She came to us in her retirement from breeding , and really lived up her “golden” years. She liked being inside with air conditioning, she loved chew toys, stealing coffee, light walks, where she could meander and sniff literally everything, and most of all snuggles with literally all beings. She grunted whenever she wanted to communicate with us, mostly to request food and snacks. She was incredibly ungraceful, and I always worried she would get hurt of break things when she got uncontrollable zoomies.

Her best friend (besides us) was Jinx the cat, and I’ve never seen a dog and cat love each other more. She was a dedicated studio buddy, and I will miss her so much while I work. Although we are so sad, we’re really grateful to have had her in our lives.
