Today we decided that it was time to let Tyler go to the Rainbow Bridge. He was 9-10 years old and was abandoned by his owners.

He was with us (Barb and Bill Schaefer) for about 7 weeks and we sure did love him. Due to neglectful owners who never came to the shelter to get him, they left a disease called Cushings go untreated for a very long time. After a month on meds, further testing showed that the disease had progressed and there was  also a good chance he had liver cancer. At least GoldHeart, the Schaefer’s and his current foster mom Sabrena, gave him a lot of love in his final few weeks.
