Tarzan GH-1000

An Update from TARZAN’s Forever Home

Tarzan has been a very special dog since he came to us in October of 2015. He was so excited to be out of the animal shelter where he could run and play but was also somewhat anxious at first. He bonded to our family almost immediately and displayed a lot of separation anxiety when we weren’t in his presence. He was also pretty anxious around his kitty siblings for quite a while and was even standoffish with his doggy sibling Daisy. All that has changed completely now. Tarzan has become a regular member of the family- he loves Daisy and the two sleep and play together daily. He even tries to play with the cats from time to time without much success. We had talked about renaming Tarzan but the name just really does seem to fit. He is somewhat mischievous and can be a bit high energy but nothing makes him happier than being around his humans, and we can’t imagine life without him.

Tarzan (also known as Archie) was rescued from a NC shelter and was Heartworm positive.  He landed in a wonderful foster home in NC where treatment is less expensive.  As you can tell from above, following GoldHeart sponsored treatment and  training, there was no question that the best home for Tarzan was the one he was in.  As you can tell, Tarzan is one lucky boy and was thrilled to have his own forever home for Thanksgiving 2016.
