RIP Sweet Peachie — you left us too soon!

Peaches, aka Peachie, was an adorable 2-year-old golden-mix who was rescued by GoldHeart from a shelter in Columbia, SC, in September 2015.  She was sadly heartworm positive,but we were optimistic she could be treated.

Sadly, the worms were in her pulmonary artery, and despite the best efforts of her amazing and loving Foster-to-Adopt home to treat her, the disease was too advanced and she passed away today.

Please, please don’t forget to keep your fur-kids on monthly heartworm preventative and test annually for Heartworms.
