Fall 2013 Newletter Available

Well, summer has come and gone and fall is upon us. All too soon the winter weather will be here and the holidays will be rolling in.

We have a lot of fundraisers coming up so check the website for anything you may be interested in helping out with. We will have the photos with Santa again this year in Maryland. That is a great fundraiser for us and the pups sure seem to enjoy meeting Santa Paws (I mean Claus). Check the website for that information. The 2014 Calendars are done and ready to go. Thank you so much Marie Martinez for taking on that job and getting it done in record time. As you know in the past Faye Finks’ daughter Ashley did the calendar but she made the excuse this year she “had a wedding to plan†LOL. Alright, I guess that was kind of important. Thank you again Ashley for helping us out in the past. We so appreciate everyones hard work. You can do Pay Pal for the calendars.

The annual members meeting will be held on Jan 11,2014. Time is 12 PM. Quail Run Assisted Living 9900 Walther Blvd. Baltimore, MD. We will have lunch, please bring a covered dish and join us for lunch and the election of the board members. I am running again for the President position and hope I can count on your support. This rescue means the world to me and I intend to help keep it running smoothly and making money to bring these needy goldens in, and get them the care they need and a new furever family.

Janie Heishman is running again for secretary as well as LaDonna Puryear running for application coordinator and board member at large. They also would like your support. So please come and join us at the members meeting for a great lunch and some social time and cast your vote.

You can also take the opportunity to pay your membership dues. Don’t forget, when you make a donation to GoldHeart we also put that towards your membership, so if you’re not sure if your dues are do, please ask the secretary.

Foster homes do not pay yearly dues. Why, you might ask? Lots of reasons. Foster homes spend a lot of money on gas to get their fosters to the vets, they buy them food, some of the foster families are even kind enough to pay some of the foster dogs vet bills and not ask for reimbursement. Anything you do for your foster dog is tax deductible.
