Daisy GH-1104 Forever in our Hearts
My life changed one terrifying day. I thought they were going to kill me. I had lived on a farm (outside days; in a horse barn nights). My job was to make puppies, and my teats were still heavy with milk.

Suddenly I was trembling inside a car, then another car, then inside a house. After hiding for days, I left my room so that I could be close to Pumpkin, the Golden who lived there. Pump trusted the lady, so I gave the lady a chance for my trust. In spite of the heart surgery, spaying, and dreaded baths, I became attached to my new home and to the lady. Food here was a big improvement, and I had my first toy, a ball that I carried everywhere. We went to the park most days where I taught Pump to stalk rabbits, though we never caught one.
With my fears of humans left behind, I became a true Golden, a Velcro Golden to that lady, my mom. I am most thankful to GoldHeart for the heart surgery that allowed me to live just shy of my 13th birthday. Now I am at the Rainbow Bridge with Pump and happy to be here, pain-free and healthy once more.
