Clyde GH-1026

Woof! Woof!  So Happy in my Forever Home!

Clyde is a 5-6 year old male who made the long journey from Egypt to the USA. He was found on the streets in Egypt along with his “sister†Bonnie or at least she was his traveling companion there. He had a cut on his muzzle that has left him a scar that really makes him look distinguished.  They were taken to the shelter where Clyde was given a thorough medical exam and updated on his necessary vaccines to travel to the US. Upon arriving  here he was immediately taken to the vets for an upper respiratory infection and had another thorough exam. He spent a day on IV fluids because he was dehydrated from the long flight.  Clyde has recovered and is doing great and is now on the hunt for his “furever†home.

Clyde is gentle soul with a big happy  face.  He is good with the other dogs but definitely is not good with cats.  He loves all the attention he can get. Loves belly rubs and loves to toss the toys up in the air and catch them. He will go in a crate and sleep all night for you.  He will fuss for a while but then lays down. He does not yet have the run of the house but has had no accidents in the house. Because he came from the streets in Egypt and was starved, his foster mom feels that he may have the potential to be “counter surfer.†He responds immediately when you tell him to get down or say no.  Clyde loves to run and run, so his foster mom feels that a fenced yard would be best for him. Clyde just loves everyone, but he is a big boy who doesn’t know his own strength. His foster home is working on the basic commands. He does know sit, come is iffy and stay is not yet an option. Whether it is a language barrier or he  has never been taught these things is the question. He does understand English he just chooses not to sometimes. Typical pup!
