Bailey GH-603
Bailey Carper
April 2008 – December 26, 2017
Our beautiful , sweet and kind soul Bailey crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 26, 2017. We were lucky enough to have adopted Bailey from GoldHeart in October 2009, and had 8 wonderful years of him enriching our lives. When we agreed to adopt him there was a concern he was really scared by loud noises and we lived by a gun club. So after a brief trial period that showed it didn’t bother him, he found his forever home with us. He had a big brother golden named Hunter that was the polar opposite of Bailey. Hunter only spent 3 years with Bailey but definitely helped bring out Bailey’s personality.
Bailey was a great only dog who never had a mean bone in his body. He rarely barked other than wanting to come inside. He loved being a great companion for us. He really loved our grandson (pictured here), and our grandson loved him and insisted on sleeping with Bailey when he slept over at Grammie and Pappys. Even after our grandson moved to Florida, when our grandson came back for a visit, Bailey remembered him like he never left. He loved the neighbors in our neighborhood and would stop by for a rub or if lucky, he got a cookie while on walks. He couldn’t pass someone without stopping on a walk and would have an incredulous look on his face if they didn’t stop to visit with him. Sometimes, even if they were across the street he felt the need to go across the street and spread a little Bailey love. He was the best dog we ever had and we will always love and miss him. We will be eternally grateful for having the opportunity to have him in our lives.
