Addie GH-1187

Merry Christmas to Addie — I am now spayed, adopted, and loving life in my Forever Home!

Meet sweet, adorable Addie! She was rescued from an awful hoarding situation, but is now living a good life under GoldHeart’s care. She  seems to learn quickly and loves being in the company of her people.

Addie is not yet spayed, and because she was coming into heat when GoldHeart took her in during mid-September, she was placed under our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program, with her adoption to be finalized after she is spayed. Vet care through spay will be at GoldHeart expense, at one of our approved vets, and can occur once she is about 2 months past her heat cycle…no sooner than early December 2021. GoldHeart hopes that placing Addie with her loving forever home sooner, while she awaits the vet recommended time for spay surgery, will be in her best interest.

Addie is obviously a mix – just look at those short legs! A DNA test revealed she has Golden, Lab, Chow, Irish Setter, German Shepherd, Beagle and Boxer in that little body! She looks mostly like the Golden and Beagle with the reddish color of the Irish Setter. She has a very sweet, quiet personality and just wants to please. She can even be a bit of a clown! She takes a while to warm up to new people and situations, but acclimates well.

Gender: Female (To be spayed once in her selected forever home)

Age: 7 (estimated)

Weight: 45 lbs

Health: Very good, She has some dental issues but nothing to be concerned about now. She has a front leg that twists to the side, but that does not bother her one little bit! She can run – well, as fast as she can with those short legs! The vet recommends that she be kept on a joint supplement to try to prevent issues with that leg as she ages.

Personality: Quiet, sweet, adorable, calm, and curious. She has a very sweet, quiet personality and just wants to please. She can even be a bit of a clown! She takes a while to warm up to new people and situations, but acclimates well. She would do fine with a less active family and would probably relish being an only dog, although she does get along well with other dogs.

Adoption fee: $350

—————————————————

If you are not yet approved by Goldheart, and are in our SERVICE AREA, you may complete an adoption application. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee that must be received before the approval process can start. The approval process can take 6 weeks, or longer, since we rely on an all-volunteer support network to process your application, conduct the home visit, and check references. If approved, you can then inquire about any other available dog that is looking for a forever home. Thank you for your patience and understanding
