Addy GH-1153

Beautiful Addy was a breeder girl and lived on a farm. Her last litter was a few weeks ago and she did not have enough milk to feed her pups, so sadly, none survived and her breeder decided to turn her over to rescue. She thoroughly enjoyed her freedom ride (her tail did not stop thumping) and has enchanted all that have met her so far. She is very friendly, and we were told she loves kids and gets along with other dogs too (and has two goldens currently in her foster home). Addy is a cream colored golden and has a beautiful wave in her coat. She is 4 years old,  and weighs in at a close to 80 pounds (vet said she is at a good weight).  Her foster family is addressing her vetting needs, including spay and entropion eye surgeries (mild case in her left eye).

Based on advice from Addy’s vet, it will be several more weeks until she is in tip-top shape and all her blood work returns to normal after having puppies. Once Addy gets the OK from her vet, we are hopeful she will breeze through her spay and entropion eye surgeries, and then she will need a couple more weeks to recover in the loving care of her foster home. We estimate it will not be until sometime later in May when Addy’s Looking for a Forever Home posting will appear here. Please check back in then, to learn more about this beautiful girl and whether your home can meet Addy’s forever home requirements.  At that time, if you are an approved home, you can express your interest to her foster mom.

Consistent with GoldHeart’s Coronavirus COVID-19 Notice, at this time, only those homes approved to adopt will be considered for Addy’s forever home.

If you are not yet approved by Goldheart, and are in our SERVICE AREA, after the current freeze on applications is lifted, you may complete an adoption application  at https://goldheart.org/adopting-a-golden/adoption-application/.  There is a $30 non-refundable application fee that must be received before the approval process can start.  Once the restriction on home visits is lifted, the approval process can take 4- 6 weeks, or longer, since we rely on an all-volunteer support network to process your application, conduct the home visit, and check references. If approved, you can then inquire about any other available dog that is looking for a forever home.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.
