Joe GH-1126

Woof! Woof! I have a Forever Home!

On September 30, GoldHeart welcomed handsome 5-year old Joe into GoldHeart. Joe came by way of a shelter after being rescued from a hoarding situation. Joe needed some training to become the Golden he was meant to be, and a vacancy was available, so he entered the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program (Roxbury Prison) on the 16th of October.

Happy Hounds is an exceptional training program and can last up to 16 weeks. GoldHeart will be looking for a forever home that will continue to reinforce the training Joe receives.

You can go to the Happy Hounds website  to learn more about the program, and click here to check in on Joe’s progress — Jan 2020 — GRADUATED — CONGRATS JOE!

On Dec 8, GoldHeart opened this post to express interest after Joe graduated.  The GH President received a few inquiries about Joe (from approved adopters). He is dog reactive and a curious boy so a secure physical fence and possibly no other dogs were recommended for his forever home. Such a home was found to the delight of Joe and his trainers at the Happy Hounds program.  Here is a picture of happy Joe from his Forever home (taken June 2020)!
