Daisy GH-1104

Meet Sweet Daisy, who came to GoldHeart in late March. This shy 5-year old girl recently retired from a career of making puppies. She is now learning to be a spoiled pet. She has a shiny red coat, lovely ears and perfect white teeth. Daisy gained a bit of weight making puppies, and is now on a weight loss diet, and it is working big time! She hopes to reach her beach beauty weight of 80-85 lbs soon.

Daisy wants you to know…”I do not pull when walking on a leash, I take treats gently, and I jump in and out of cars by myself. My main problem is that I am so shy. When someone that I do not know comes near, I turn and go the other way. However, I am affectionate with members of my foster family, and want to learn to trust other humans. I like dogs (don’t know how to play though), walks in the woods, car rides, and being brushed.”

Daisy is scheduled to be spayed this week and will also have entropion corrective surgery on one eye. Approved Adopters, that may be interested in Daisy and want to be considered for her forever home, should check back later this month for updates to this post that she is healed and ready to start the search for her forever home.

If you are not yet approved by Goldheart, and are in our SERVICE AREA, please complete an adoption application at https://goldheart.org/adopting-a-golden/adoption-application/. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee that must be received before the approval process starts. The approval process can take 6- weeks or more since we rely on an all-volunteer support network to process your application, conduct the home visit, and check references. If approved, you can then inquire about Daisy if still available, or any other available dog that is looking for a forever home. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
